Maybank MOTAC Visa Prepaid Card Launches in Malaysia

The Ministry of Tourism and Culture (MOTAC), in partnership with global payments technology company Visa, and Malaysia’s largest banking group Maybank, today announced the launch of the Maybank MOTAC Visa Prepaid Card.

The launch was officiated by Y. Bhg. Datuk Dr. Ong Hong Peng, Secretary General of Ministry of Tourism and Culture (MOTAC) with the unveiling of the prepaid card in the presence of Mr. B Ravintharan Balakrishnan, Head of Cards and Wealth, Community Financial Services Maybank, and Mr. Ng Kong Boon, Visa Country Manager for Malaysia.

The Maybank MOTAC Visa Prepaid Card encourages non-cash usage among users, particularly tourists, when they visit local tourist attractions. The prepaid card offers attractive privileges and benefits from key Food & Beverage (F&B) and hotel partners. One of the key partners, Berjaya Hotels and Resorts provides 15 per cent off Best Available Rates (BAR) at all their outlets in Malaysia including Berjaya Time Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Berjaya Langkawi Resort, Berjaya Waterfront Hotel, Johor Bahru and many others.

Other benefits include 15 per cent discount on all food items at Rasa Utara and a free Original Glazed® with purchase of Coffee at Krispy Crème. In addition to that, prepaid card users will also enjoy ongoing offers from Maybank and Visa.
